This is amazing - thank you for these words. I just finished reading "The Power of Regret" (which does not promote wallowing in the pit of despair for should-haves and could-haves), but to hold that we are human, we make mistakes, and the beautiful thing is we can learn from those mistakes and do better. 💜
You are welcome... I am trying to hum but I am so badly tone deaf that the songs I'm humming are not recognizable even by me. Alas... but I persist. xoxo
As always - so insightful. I'm curious about how you recognized the power of curiosity. Was it like a light switch... or a dimmer dial. And who - if anyone - either first opened your eyes to this and/or is there anyone (present day or historical figure) you look to for inspiration / role model in living with this mindset? (Asking because I picked "curiosity" as my word for 2025... ;) XO
We haven't spoken in too long. I realized when I saw Rachel Maddow speak for two hours last Saturday how curiosity is dying. We pick our 'people'... and they feed us what we think and we take it in and that becomes what we think. I work very hard to pick apart what comes across my plate. And, having moved to Maine (you too!!!! :)) I have the kind of time without diversionary explosions to really question and think. So curiosity over the last few years has flourished inside me. It's allowed me to find curiosity again. Xoxox.. Miss you old friend...
Love it, thank you! Am arriving in Maine July 1. Just made a note in my calendar to reach out to you to make a date to see each other in person for a true catch up. XO

Loved this!
You always inspire me and funny enough, I hum constantly. I will most certainly take every bit of your advice and thank you!

Love this. Sent it on to Penelope...our speedy Geneseo grad (who graduated today!)
Cannot believe she is graduating. Never met her but I remember when she was born!

I would love that. I'll come to you this time if you would like. C.
